D. Joseph Clark, Ph.D.
Photographer, educator, publisher, molecular biologist, jazz musician and pilot resides in Seattle, Washington with his wife and daughter.
As a biologist and research scientist, Dr. Clark worked at the University of Washington. Joe’s dedication to education and his commitment to enhancing the learning experience led him to founding Videodiscovery, a nationally recognized publisher of science education multimedia.
Now retired, Joe is further exploring the confluence of art and science through photography. Joe’s ability to communicate his vision of the meaning within has become an inspiration to others. His work challenges the viewer to look beyond the hard surfaces in our lives to find beauty and motion. Color and playfulness are a big part of Joe’s work, and he travels in search of the fleeting moments where light and reflection illuminate the art surrounding us.
